“Balancing” Meeting Lifted Our Spirits!
There were many new faces and a few we were glad to see back, including Dr. Lissa Nirenberg. Judicial Candidate Abby Cynammon told us she was a foster child who put herself through college and law school, and brings a unique perspective to the juvenile justice system. Election is August 26th. After the meeting, many folks stayed to network – always a sign of good things to come! Congratulations Given! NAWBO Congratulations were given to: Valeska Jacques, CEO, uVium, for an outstanding “Blogging Party” in January, to Louise Harber, Active Language Learning Programs, who was featured in full-page article in the South Florida Business Journal, and Gladys Mezrahi for her successful Pangea World Festival in Aventura.
If you have an “at-a-girl” you want recognized, let me know before the meeting and I’ll include yours. (E-mail anne@speakoutinc.com)
Thanks to Cassia Silva, Treasurer, and CEO Key Languages, for handling registration so capably and to the office of Diane Vollrath, Management Matters, and Immediate Past NAWBO President, for taking reservations and fielding the many inquiries we get.
